Google’s CEO Larry Page: Over 190M Android Activated To Date, Mobile Revenue Hits $2.5B

The total number of Android devices activated worldwide has now reached 190 million and expect a major announcement about the 200 millionth device in the next few days, Google CEO Larry Page said during the company’s third-quarter earnings call today. Expected to become official as soon as next week, the new OS flavor, Ice Cream Sandwich will be loaded on a new Google phone, which was long rumored to be released on the market as Nexus Prime. The new Android platform release is expected to become official during a press event that will be held in Hong Kong on October 19th.
